Heffron Chiropractic was founded in 1963 by Dr. Heywood Heffron after graduating from Lincoln Chiropractic College in 1952. This began a long tradition of treating New York area residents with a conservative, wholistic health care approach long before it became fashionable.
In 1980 after graduating from New York Chiropractic College, Dr. Mark Heffron entered the practice and moved to it’s current location. We are now celebrating 35 years of community service in this same location.
Throughout the years the health care professionals at the Heffron Chiropractic Office added a variety of techniques and approaches designed to enhance our patient’s health and well being. Our staff are experts at locating and correcting the cause of a patient’s symptoms with the most current and gentle techniques available.
Dr. Robert Ringston is a graduate of the University Of Bridgeport Chiropractic College. Along with Chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Ringston is an expert in extremity manipulation and has great success in the treatment of knee, shoulder and hip problems. His expertise in sports injuries has made him a popular choice of both professional and collegiate athletes as well as Jockeys affiliated with the New York Racing Association.
Dr. Kerry Keegan is a graduate of Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. Following his graduation, Dr. Keegan became a licensed FAA flight instructor as well as an aviation consultant and charter pilot. Although he found this a rewarding profession, Dr. Keegan felt he wanted to help people in a different and more meaningful way. He became a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1990 graduating from the New York Chiropractic College. Following his graduation from NYCC, Dr. Keegan went on to get his Masters of Science Degree in Human Nutrition in 1992 from Bridgeport University. Patients in our office benefit from his unique insight in the combination of Chiropractic techniques along with his comprehensive nutrition background and human physiology. This approach is very successful with the treatment of chronic, stubborn health issues facing many of our patients.
In addition to our office, Dr. Keegan works as Adjunct faculty at Nassau Community College, Queensborough Community College and Farmingdale Community College teaching human anatomy and physiology.
Dr. Keegan has brought his unique approach to health care, nutrition and his other areas of expertise to the Heffron Chiropractic Office since 1997 and is a valued asset in the treatment of our patients.
